No Condemnation Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped theme prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. That is one of the strongest sentences in all of Scripture, and it is one of the hardest for me to live in every day.
The accuser keeps bringing up the case. But the verse says the case is closed. The condemnation that would have been mine was borne by Jesus, in full. There is none left for me to bear. None. Not a residue. Not a probation. None.
Live this verse into me. The old guilt I carry, the daily worry that I have not measured up — I have held on to those like a shield. But the verse takes the shield away. There is no condemnation. So free up the energy I have spent defending myself, and turn it into real obedience and love.
Walk me out of the courtroom with the verdict in hand.
Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
