New Creation In Christ Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped theme prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come.
That is not a renovation. That is not self-improvement. That is a new creation. The old me was crucified with Christ. A new me was raised. The change goes deeper than behavior. Behavior catches up over time. Sometimes very slowly.
Train me to remember who I am when the old patterns come back. Those patterns are residue. They are not the real me anymore. The real me is the new creation, hidden with Christ in God.
Reveal more of that new life today. Behold, the new has come. Help me see it. Help me live like it is true.
Amen.
