Faith Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped theme prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I keep wanting to change what faith means. I want more proof. I want to see before I trust. But You have given me a faith that holds even when I cannot see. Help me stop asking for an easier kind. The walking is the faith. The not-seeing is part of how it works. There is no credit in trusting a bridge after I have checked every beam. The trust counts when I step out and cross. Take me across the things I cannot check. The small, honest faith I have today is enough. You have always done strong work with small things. Use what I bring. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
