A Relationship With Boyfriend Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped theme prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, this relationship is good and confusing in the same week. He is kind. He is patient with me. He notices things. But there are parts of his life I am not sure I fit into, and parts of mine he does not yet know. Your word warns me not to be tied to someone who is not following You. I feel that warning in my bones tonight. Show me where this really is. Is he running with You, or just near You? Am I being patient with real growth, or with something that will not change? Cut through my wishful thinking. I would rather face a clean hurt now than build a marriage on what I hope he might become. Give me wisdom tonight. This relationship is not bigger than Your guidance. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
