Teens Prayer for December 26th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Psalm 145 says, "the Lord is good to all; His mercy is over all that He has made." The day after Christmas has a strange dropoff. The excitement is over. The wrappers are everywhere. And regular life is back. You are good in this part too. Not just in the buildup. Help me not chase the high. Let me settle into the regular and find You still there. You are the same God on the plain days as You are on the big days. You have not gotten smaller because the season is winding down. Let me find real joy in the ordinary days that follow. Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
