Teens Prayer for December 20th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I lose joy. Sometimes I do not even notice it is gone. Sometimes it is gone for months. I go through the motions. I show up. I do the things. But nothing feels real underneath. Psalm 51 says, "Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit." So I am asking. Bring it back. Not the fake holiday kind. Not the loud, forced kind. The real kind. The kind that lives under an ordinary Tuesday. The kind that shows up in a quiet moment and surprises me. You gave me that joy once. I am not too far gone for You to give it again. I cannot make it happen on my own. I am not asking because I deserve it. I am asking because You are generous. Restore the joy. Uphold me by Your Spirit. Amen.
