Teens Prayer for December 14th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Psalm 121 says, "I lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth." On a tired night, I keep looking everywhere for help except in the right place. Let me lift my eyes off my phone and remember where help actually comes from. Sleep is not help. Distraction is not help. You are help. Let me lay tonight in Your hands and stop looking for substitutes. The substitutes have all let me down before. The maker of heaven and earth has not. Let me look to You tonight instead of scrolling for an hour. Amen.
