Teens Prayer for December 11th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Luke 1 says Jesus came to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the path of peace. Not just people passing through a hard day. People who have been in the dark for a long time. Some people I love are like that. And honestly, some of me feels like that too. You came for us. Guide my feet today, one step at a time, into the path of peace. Long darkness is what I most need a Light for. When the dark has been there for years, small fixes are not enough. Only a real Light works. Be that Light for the people I love who have been in the dark too long. And be that Light in the parts of me that have been dark for a long time. Amen.
