Teens Prayer for December 3rd
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, in John 1, You say the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Whatever dark is in my room, my school, my family, or my own head, Your light is still shining. It is not just going to win someday. It is winning right now. Help me not be more impressed by the dark than by Your small, steady light. Let me be that kind of light somewhere today. The dark feels bigger on a long December night than it really is. But Your light is closer than I think. It does not have to be a big light to matter. A small light in a dark room changes everything about that room. Make me a small, steady light. Amen.
