Teens Prayer for November 27th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Psalm 95 says to come into Your presence with thanksgiving. The holiday is over, and I am tired of being thankful on purpose. Help me keep going anyway. Let thanks be normal today, not just a holiday thing. Even on a Black Friday scrolling-through-deals day, help me notice what I already have instead of chasing the next thing. Holding back can be worship too. Make me the kid who walks away from the deal, not because buying things is wrong, but because always wanting more is exhausting. There is something You have already given me that I keep ignoring. Thanksgiving should not be one day. Let it be a habit that lasts long after the table is cleared. Help me carry it into the next normal week. Amen.

How to pray it

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
