Teens Prayer for November 25th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Psalm 116 says, 'return to Your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with You.' I forget how often You have been good to me. I focus on what I do not have instead of what You have already given. Today, help me return to rest by naming what is real: the people who love me, the bed I sleep in, the food I will eat this week, the brain that works, the chance to start over tomorrow, even when school is hard, or friendships feel heavy. Help me trust that Your goodness is not in question. My forgetting is the real problem. Teach me to count what You have done rather than complain about what I lack. Counting brings rest. Complaining brings weariness. Make me a counter this week, not a complainer. Amen.
