Teens Prayer for November 23rd

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Romans 8 says, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" That is a big claim, and it is true. There are people against me. There are opinions, fears, and my own self-talk working against me. But none of those voices outvote You. I do not always feel that. But I do not have to feel it for it to be true. Let me move through today with this one line underneath all the noise: "God is for me." That voice may be quieter, but it is truer. The cross proved that You are for me. The other voices are loud, like the one that says I am not enough. Help me see those loud voices for what they are. They sound heavy, but they are light. Help me lean on the voice that is heavier, quieter, and true — Yours. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
