Teens Prayer for November 21st

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, 1 Corinthians 15 says, 'Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that Your labor is not in vain.' Not in vain. That is the line. The small obediences no one will ever see, not in vain. The kindness I gave that was not returned, not in vain. The prayers I prayed that seemed to change nothing, not in vain. Help me keep working even when I cannot see yet. Help me trust that You are faithful even when the answer is slow. Steadfast and immovable are slow words. Patient, steady obedience is what builds a real life. Make me steady. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
