Teens Prayer for November 19th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Matthew 11 says, "Take My yoke upon You and learn from Me. I am gentle and lowly in heart, and You will find rest for Your souls." Gentle and lowly. Not strict and grand. The Jesus I follow is not waiting for me to perform. He is waiting for me to come close enough to learn. Today, let me get close to Him. Not afraid. Not embarrassed about how little I know. Just close. He is not pulling me. He is walking beside me. The work is shared. Let me walk next to Him today, neither running ahead nor falling behind. Amen.

- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
