Teens Prayer for November 13th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Isaiah 43 says, "Do not fear, for I have redeemed You. I have called You by name. You are Mine."
I hold on to that. You call me by name. Not by my user handle. Not by what people tag me as online. You call me by the name that is really mine. The one You have always known.
I am known by You.
The crowd I am scared of does not have a single person who knows me the way You do. Let that be enough today.
Most of my fear is about what people will think. What they will say. How they will see me. But the name You gave me is older than all of that. It will last longer than any friend, group, trend, or school hallway.
When I remember that You called my name first, the fear gets smaller.
Help me build my life on that. On the name You call me. On the fact that I am Yours.
Amen.
