Teens Prayer for November 12th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Psalm 46 says, 'Be still, and know that I am God.' So today, help me be still. Phone off. Music off. Conversation off. Just sit in the quiet. I am almost never that still, but today, let me try. I know I cannot know You by adding more noise, more scrolling, more searching. Help me stop and let the stillness do its work. The verse is short and uncomfortable, and that is okay. Most of the time, when I am still, the noise inside my head gets loud. Worries about school. Worries about friends. The same thoughts on repeat. That is fine. The stillness is not about making the noise go away. It is about hearing You underneath it. So let me try ten minutes today—just ten. And see what is there. Stillness is a discipline, and I want to start learning it now. Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
