Teens Prayer for October 30th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, in John 15, You said, "I am the vine, You are the branches. Apart from Me, You can do nothing." That hits hard. Most days, I try to get stuff done without staying close to You. The results feel fake, or they do not come at all. Today, help me abide first. Help me sit with You, read Your Word, and pray before I rush into my day. The order matters. Keep me connected to You. The branch does not strain to make fruit. It just stays connected to the vine. Let me stay connected to You. Then what I do will come from You, not just from my own effort. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
