Teens Prayer for October 29th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, my times are in Your hand. That means tonight. Tomorrow morning. Whatever this week brings that I cannot yet see. I have been gripping it all like I can hold it together on my own. I cannot. Open my hand. Take what I have been clenching. You have held things far heavier than my week. You have held them longer than I have been alive. I keep white-knuckling my plans like they depend only on me. Loosen my grip. Take what I was never meant to carry alone. Let me sleep tonight with an open hand instead of a tight fist. And if I grab it all back in the morning, come get it again. Amen.
