Teens Prayer for October 28th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Psalm 91 says, "whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." Dwell is a slow word. Not visit. Not check in. Live in. Help me dwell with You today. Not just a five-minute morning thing, a back-of-mind presence the whole day. When I am at lunch, You are there. When I am stressed about a quiz, You are there. When practice runs late, and I am tired, You are there. The shadow is the shade I get to live in. The shelter is not for emergencies only. It is the place I am supposed to live. Most of the time, I treat it like a hotel I stay at once a week. Help me move in. Let me work, study, and eat under Your roof. Amen.
