Teens Prayer for October 25th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Psalm 73 says, "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." There are days I feel like my heart is giving out. Not my actual heart. My emotions. I cannot feel anything good at all. On those days, be my strength. I do not have to find it in myself. You are right here with me, even when I feel empty. The psalmist did not say, "I felt better, and then I trusted." He said, "Even when I am failing, You are my portion." That means I can trust You when nothing inside me works. Especially then. Be my strength today. A portion is what someone hands You when You cannot get up and serve yourself. That is the help I need on the days I have nothing left. Amen.
