Teens Prayer for October 20th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Psalm 51 says You do not turn away a heart that is broken and sorry. I have been bad at being soft. Tonight I want to bring You real softness. Help me be willing to be wrong. Help me admit the mess. Help me stop defending myself. Not because I failed in some big way, but because that is where You meet me. Receive me soft. Heal what is brittle in me. Make me the kind of person who is not afraid to be the first to apologize. Being hard all the way is exhausting. And the truth is, I am not always right. I am not always strong. Tonight I am letting my guard down. You already see the soft me. Receive that one. Amen.
