Teens Prayer for October 16th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You said in Deuteronomy 31 that You would never leave me or give up on me. I am scared of being left. By friends. By groups. By people I love. People leave. They move. They stop liking me. They stop messaging back. That fear has been with me as long as I can remember. But You do not leave. Let that promise be solid ground under me. Not a fix. Not a cure. Just something that holds even when the fear comes. I will trust that You stay. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
