Teens Prayer for October 15th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says that if I say I have no sin, I am fooling myself and Your truth is not in me. I don't usually say I am perfect. I just act like I am close enough. Like I am one of the good ones. But that keeps me from being honest with You. Gently take that away. Let me see myself clearly. Loved, but not impressive. Forgiven, but not free to keep doing what is wrong. Make me someone who can say sorry without falling apart, because I know You are holding me. A humble person is not someone who beats themselves up all the time. It is someone who knows they will mess up and runs to You anyway. Make me honest. Make me quick to confess. Make me someone who knows what Your forgiveness really means. Amen.
