Teens Prayer for October 1st

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Psalm 19 says the heavens declare Your glory. In October, the trees do their best preaching. The leaves do not change to perform. They just keep being trees, and it turns out beautiful. Make my life like that. Help me stop performing. Let me just be faithful and let beauty be what comes out of that. I cannot make big moments happen. I can only do the slow, steady thing You gave me to do. The trees do not plan their autumn. They let go on time, and the result is beautiful. Help me let go of my grip on how things should look. Let me do the daily faithful thing. Let beauty come from that, in whatever shape You want, not from my trying to force it. Amen.
