Teens Prayer for September 29th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says we see only a dim reflection now, not the whole picture. I do not have it all figured out. The friendship that ended, the family struggle, the closed door, the question with no answer, I only see pieces. But You see it all. I am not going to demand that You show me everything right now. Help me trust that what I can see is good and that the rest will make sense in Your time. Save me from trying to explain what only You understand. There will come a day when everything is clear. Until then, help me live faithfully in the dim, with You, not pretending I know more than I do. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
Verses to pray
Pray these slowly, one line at a time. Scripture quoted from a public-domain translation.
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.
