Teens Prayer for September 21st
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says I can come boldly to Your throne of grace to get mercy and find help when I need it. I keep tripping on that word boldly. I come to You like I am imposing. Like I should have figured this out first. Today, let me come boldly, not arrogantly. Just like a kid who knows the door is open. I both need mercy and help. I am not just asking for a fix. I am asking to be received. Help me see that Your throne is not a judge’s bench. It is more like a kitchen counter where help is given out. Help me walk up. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
