Teens Prayer for September 19th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Ephesians 4 says to be kind, tenderhearted, and to forgive as You forgave me. I have forgiven someone in my head, but not out loud, not in how I treat them. That is not the kind of forgiveness You give. Show me one warm action this week that says, "I have actually let this go." Not because they deserve it. Because I have been forgiven so much, I cannot keep score. Help me pay the cost of forgiving, even when it is hard. Help me let go. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
