Teens Prayer for September 16th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says not to grow weary in doing good, because in due time we will reap if we do not give up. Doing good is exhausting when no one notices. The kind thing I did at home, no one mentioned. The kindness I showed was not returned. I am tired. Help me keep going anyway. I am not pretending it does not bother me. But You see. The harvest is not always in the next hour. It is in due time. I will trust the timing to You. Most of the time, the work no one sees still matters. Even when I cannot see how. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
