Teens Prayer for August 22nd
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, there's a verse where a girl tells her friends, "If You find the one I love, tell him I am sick with love." There are days I don't feel that way about You. There are days I can't find You at all. I know that doesn't mean You're gone. But I don't want to pretend I haven't noticed the dryness either. Bring me back. Through a friend's text. Through a verse that hits hard. Through whatever You usually use. I'm asking sincerely, not anxiously, for the feeling of nearness to come back. While I wait, I will keep showing up. Not panicking. Not pretending. Help me hold both. The dryness has been long enough. Bring water back, in Your timing and Your way. Amen.
