Teens Prayer for August 16th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Psalm 29 says to give You the glory due Your name. I am still learning what that means. Help me not just talk about You on Sunday and then forget You the rest of the week. Help me show up where I should be. Help me say what is true. Help me treat people like they matter. Help me take the next right step and not pretend. That is what giving You glory looks like for me right now. Not just a song. A whole life. It takes a whole week, a whole lot of small choices I will not get credit for. Make me someone whose whole life says quietly, You are real and worth living for. Amen.

How to pray it

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
