Teens Prayer for August 13th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Psalm 104 says You planted the tall cedars in Lebanon. Big trees grow slowly. Help me stop checking my growth every day. A tree does not look different after one week. Plant me deep. Water me steady. Let me grow slow and faithful, not loud and fast. I do not need to be impressive next month. I need to still be rooted in You ten years from now. Make me a slow-growing tree, not a flashy weed that dies in a week. Cedars stand for hundreds of years. I will get impatient sometimes. But I trust the slow tree more than the fast trend. Build my roots first. My shape can come later. Amen.
