Teens Prayer for August 11th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Job said, "I wish I could go back to how things were." I feel that too. I miss when I was younger. I miss when school was easier. I miss a friendship I cannot get back. Do not let me get stuck looking backward. The past was not as perfect as I remember. And the future still has good things I have not seen yet. Help me live today. Help me notice the small good things right in front of me. I cannot bring back the old days. But I can live this one with You. My memory makes the past look better than it was. But real life is here, in this day, with You. Even when it is harder than I want it to be, help me show up for this day. Amen.
