Teens Prayer for August 10th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Colossians 3 says Christ is my life. That is a big sentence. I know how to treat Him like one more class, one more thing on my list. But You are not supposed to be a topic I study. You are supposed to be the air I breathe. Help me see the difference today. When I face a hard moment, let me turn to You right then, even if all I say is, "Jesus, help me." I have treated You like a textbook for a long time. Make me live like You are the air today. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
