Teens Prayer for August 7th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, love is not just for people who have everything together. It is for people who keep choosing You even when life feels small or flat. Let me be one of those. Most days, I will not love You in big, loud ways. I will love You by getting out of bed, by putting my phone down, by looking at the sky for a few seconds, and remembering You are real. Let small daily love count. Help me keep turning toward You, even when I do not feel anything. The turning is the love. And the turning is still real, even on an ordinary day. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
Verses to pray
Pray these slowly, one line at a time. Scripture quoted from a public-domain translation.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
1 John 4:18May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you,
1 Thessalonians 3:12
