Teens Prayer for August 5th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Romans 8 says all things work together for good to those who love You. That verse gets used like a sticker, and it is bigger than a sticker. It does not say all things are good. It says all things work together. Even the bad things I would never call good, You can weave them into something that ends in good. Help me believe that on the days when the bad things are loud and the good things are invisible. Do not let me make the verse smaller than it is. And while You are working, give me patience. I am not the editor of this story. You are. So I will trust You with the parts I cannot see yet. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
