Teens Prayer for August 4th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says that the people who know You will be strong and do great things. I do not feel strong right now. The great things part even feels a little embarrassing. But maybe knowing You makes a person strong in a quieter way. Not louder. Not more confident. Just less afraid of the wrong things. Help me be brave the way Christians are quietly brave. Not picking fights, but not hiding what I believe just to keep things easy. Not loud about it, but not silent when it counts. Make me the kind of person who has steady, hard-to-knock-over faith. Small brave moment by small brave moment. The brave moments do not have to be public. Some of the bravest people I know are barely visible. Knowing You is where it starts. The strength comes after the knowing, not before. And the knowing is built in quiet prayer like this one. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
