Teens Prayer for July 31st
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Jesus prayed in John 17, "I in them, and You in Me." That is not just a church line. It means I am not running this life on my own. The same closeness You have with Jesus is offered to me. I do not feel that most days. But feeling is not the test. Help me act like it is true. Help me pause before I speak. Help me talk to You like You are right here. Help me ask You into a hard conversation at school, not just after it is over. Today, help me remember You are in me. Even one good moment of remembering is more than yesterday. I will not try to feel something big. I will just try again and again. Christ in me is the deepest truth of my life, and I usually treat it like the least real one. Change that today. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
