Teens Prayer for July 27th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your promises are better than I treat them. I let them play like background music, somewhere in the back of my day, but they do not actually change what I do. Make Your words louder in my head than the doomscroll. Make them real enough that I choose them over fear, even when fear is shouting. I am not asking to feel inspired all the time. I am asking to remember, when I am alone with my own head, that what You said is more solid than what I am afraid of. Your promises do not have to feel exciting to be true. They just have to be remembered. Help me call them up at the right moment, when I am about to lose nerve, when the room feels too quiet, and I do not know what to do next. Amen.
