Teens Prayer for July 12th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, I keep checking my phone. Who liked my post? Who is mad? Who even saw it? It is so tiring. But none of that gets to decide who I am. You said who I am first. You set me apart before I did anything impressive. You love me, not because I performed, just because. You keep me, even on my worst day. Quiet my chase for the wrong kind of attention. Free me from needing one more person to tell me I matter. I already matter to You. Let that be the loudest thing in my head today. The people I want approval from cannot give me what You already gave me for free. Help me stop asking them for what they do not have and rest in what You already said. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.

Verses to pray
