Teens Prayer for June 26th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, my friend is moving away, and I am scared of how lonely this summer is going to feel. Even the people who seem strong get scared, too. My friend is nervous about the move. She is pretending to be fine, and so am I. Help me be brave enough to text her something real tonight, not just the easy words. Help me look at my week without her and not let my mind run to the worst. Show me which one person in this friend group I should reach out to first, and give me the courage to actually do it. The future feels stuck, but You say it is not. The fear is loud, but it does not get the last word. You do. Carry me through this change. Amen.

  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
