Teens Prayer for June 22nd
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, two of my friends are fighting. They keep trying to use me as a referee. I have been letting them, and it is making me sick.
You are the priest-king. You are the one who brings peace. I am not. I cannot fix this for them. I need to stop pretending I can.
Take me out of the middle. Tomorrow I will tell them plainly that I love them both, but I cannot keep passing messages between them. They will have to talk to each other. They might be mad at me for stepping out. I would rather be uncomfortable for a moment than stay stuck as a hostage in their fight.
Pull me out clean.
Amen.
