Teens Prayer for June 19th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, my brain will not sit still today. Acts 2:4 says they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues. That day was not quiet. It was wind and fire and many languages at once. So this messy, scattered prayer still counts. Use the noise. Use my half-formed words. Your Spirit prays inside me even when my brain runs in three directions at once. I cannot make myself close to You. You are the one who draws me near. Help me keep coming back, not to build an image, but because I need You. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
