Teens Prayer for June 17th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, my friend group has thinned out for the summer. The group chat has gone quiet, and I feel smaller than I want to admit. Even David cried out when good people were gone. The absence is real. But You have not gone anywhere. I am not nothing without them. This quiet season is not a life sentence. Help me be okay alone with You, not just stuck by myself. Loneliness is telling me something. It does not get the last word. Hold me to that.

Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.

Verses to pray
