Teens Prayer for June 16th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I am scared about something I have not told anyone yet. Your Word says, "You are my light and my saving help. Why should I fear? You are the strength of my life. Why should I be afraid?" Even saying that does not make the fear go away. But it changes what the fear is up against. Tonight, help me take one small step. Let me tell one trusted adult just enough so I am not alone with this. I do not need to fix everything. I just need to speak it out loud, even if it is only to You. Give me the courage that comes from You, not from me. I cannot control what happens next. But I can take the next true step. So hand me the courage I need for that one step. Amen.
