Teens Prayer for June 14th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, the sun is already bright on the wall, and the dog will not stop barking to go out. Your Word says if I delight in You, You will give me the desires of my heart. I do not want to treat that like a trick to get what I want. The point is the delight, not the deal. Help me delight in You. Help me receive this morning as a gift. The day in front of me is normal — a work shift, two errands, and a friend tonight. Help me do each thing with attention. Help me show up to the shift on time and be kind to whoever I am working with. Help me run the errands without being on my phone the whole time. Help me be present with my friend instead of half-distracted. This day is not mine to use up. It is Yours. I give it back to You. Amen.
