Teens Prayer for June 13th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father,

I know what I need to stop and I have not stopped. Your Word says the Spirit and Your people say, Come. There is still an open door for me to turn back.

I have been hiding something from You. Tonight I stop hiding it. I bring it into the light the way it is, not dressed up, not made to look better than it is. I am not strong enough to fix this by myself. The Spirit is the one pulling me back.

When the shame voice gets loud, help me remember it is not the truest voice. Your voice is truer. Help me tell one safe person what is going on. Help me not go back to what I hid, even when the want comes back, which it will.

I am not asking for a big dramatic change. I am asking for slow, honest steps. Help me be someone who keeps turning to You instead of someone who just tries to manage on my own.

Receive me back.

Amen.
