Teens Prayer for June 10th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says that whether I live or die, I belong to You. That means I am Yours in the kitchen, Yours at the computer, Yours at 1 a.m. — all the rooms count. I have been acting like some rooms are mine alone. They are not.

There is a version of me I hide when nobody is looking, and it is not who I want to be. Take my divided life. Make me whole instead of impressive.

Tonight I will leave my phone outside the bedroom door. Tomorrow I will read a chapter before I scroll. This week, I will let one trusted person see the real me — not in a big speech, just in one true sentence I would normally leave out.

You see the underneath of me anyway. Receive it.

Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.

Verses to pray
