Teens Prayer for June 3rd

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, I have been letting the year end without facing one specific failure. I owe someone an apology, and I have been ducking it. The work in front of me this week is not glamorous. It is the message I have been afraid to send. Move me to do it. I will not write a long paragraph. I will not rehearse a speech in my head. I will say one true sentence, face to face or in a real message, this weekend at the latest. The turn is the point. Not the regret. Not the talk about how I have grown. Just the different action I have been putting off. Move me to do it before the weekend ends. Receive me back.

Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
