Teens Prayer for June 2nd
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, my two siblings have been fighting all week, and I have been the one on the couch, quietly glad it's not me they're mad at. I know that's not who You want me to be. Your Word says my selfish side and Your Spirit are always pulling against each other, and I've been pretending I don't feel that pull. I could help instead of just watching. Take that small satisfaction away from me. Tomorrow, I want to help my younger sibling with something they've been stuck on, right in front of the older one, no big speech, no scene. Just choosing not to be another fight in this house. They are my real family, even when we're bad at it. Pull me off the couch and into the room. Amen.
