Teens Prayer for June 1st

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, the school year is almost over, and the days feel different. You are the One who names the days. This day is not mine to waste on whatever feels fun. Help me take it as Yours. There is a test I am stressing over, and dinner with my family, where I need to actually pay attention Walk me through each part. Help me show up. Help me be here. Help me stop asking what I get out of today. Make me someone who gives a little to this day instead of just taking from it all, even if no one else sees. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
